Not much is know about Task Force Delta other than their absolute fixation on The Crime King. They've recruited adventurers many times in the past, either through persuasion or through force, but they don't seem all that strong and so far the party has shown some desire to cooperate with their mission.

History

Somewhere in some unknown plain lives a race of sentient demi-planes. When four of their most notorious criminals escaped from a maximum security prison, Task Force Delta was assigned to go track them down and bring them to justice. For whatever reason, it's taken them a couple hundred years to find them on the material plane, and three of the fugitives have already died.

Activities on the Material Plane

Upon arriving, Task Force Delta approached its mission from two angles. They were quick to recruit native species to attempt to apprehend the living Crime King while they, themselves, pursued the far less risky task of gathering the bodies of the deceased criminals. Their attempts on both fronts have met with failure so far.

Early in their visit, they discovered the corpse of one of the giants under the Cloud Mountains, constructing a fortress there to seal him so that the effects of long-term exposure to the Material Plane could be studied. However, the demi-plane had been dead for too long for them to gather any useful data and the facility was abandoned.

Disaster struck after they discovered the second convict deep in the Calimshan desert. An initial recon expedition was sent out to investigate, but White Sphere Beta was shot down by Memnon special forces and its bird scouts were confined by Sultan Bakran. White Sphere Beta is currently confined in Memnon.

Most recently, Taskforce Delta has had luck in acquiring what was left of the body of the third convict, though it's doubtful that they would have had as much luck as they did if it were not for the efforts of The Five, who subdued The Beast that had nested in the giant's body.

Native Agents

The Burning Blades were recruited in Calimshan by Task Force Delta to go out and assassinate The Aviator. When the band's leader proved uncooperative, the demi-planes inserted white sphere's into their heads, set to explode if Task Force Delta's orders were not carried out.

While the Burning Blades were successful in infiltrating the airship Leviathan, they were ultimately defeated by The Five, and those there were spared during the fight quickly blew up.

Despite recruiting as many as twenty adventuring teams, Taskforce Delta has failed to assassinate a single member of The Seven.
